We played all nigh long and it came down to these three. Andrew, Veronica and Clyde. Tony was kind enough to break the bubble and Josh deals the cards. Looks like Andrew might have this all sewed up.

Veronica contemplates going all in. It’s late and she’ll be happy with 2nd place if it doesn’t work out.

Andrew is up for an all-in. Bring it on Veronica!

Andrew won it! Good job Andrew! And Veronica just wanted to go home. That strategy seems to be working for her. Clyde it’s great to have you at the table. Congrats on getting to the money!

Now lets get down to the best players of 2024. Scott says a few heart felt words to his nemesis and comrade, Bobby Thompson as Josh listens.

We do something at the RPC every year that’s a right of passage and milestone. We hand off the trophy. 2 of RPC’s best players passing the torch.

It’s the Champions Hand-off. It’s been done 7 times so far. Scott has had the honor of handing off the trophy twice now. Lori is the other RPC member with that honor.

So here you have it folks. The best players of 2024.
Bobby Thompson – He’s been picking up momentum for the past few years and like a lot of RPC members, he’s been getting better and better. 2024 was his year. He always plays quiet and confident and most importantly he’s still there. It’s interesting to note that Bobby only placed 2 times in the whole year. They were both 1st place finishes though. He was also the bubble breaker 4 times. The key here is consistency. He always played a good game and waited for his time to make his move. Nice work Mr. Thompson!
Josh Eastman – 2018 Points Champ and runner up in 2023 and 2024. He had a shot at 1st this year but didn’t quite make it. His only first place was in June. Consistency!
Andrew Jacobsen – 1st place winner of the December game. He’s placed 4 times this year and broke the bubble once. Andrew is serious about getting his name on the trophy next year.
Check out this cool video Veronica got! Scott is passionate about this game and this club.
Here’s what our year looked like. And yes, Bobby has been telling us all year that he’s number 1.

Did somebody say Potato soup? It was warm and tasty. Just what we needed after the first round. Thank you Sue for taking care of us!

Again, lets congratulate these RPC Players! They played better than all of the rest of us and they deserve to be standing there. The New Year is coming though! We all start over in January and it can be anyone’s game! If we vote to pull 20% we’ll really have something worth playing for.
Thank you RPC members for another great year of fun, competition, love and comradery!
See you all next year!
Another great year of poker! We love hosting and will definitely be doing it again in 2025. Thank you, Tony, for all your hard work on the website and keeping the club moving forward in a positive direction. All the personal time you dedicate to it is much appreciated. See you all at the tables in 2025. I’ll be gunning for the trophy hat trick. You all better bring your A-games.
