RPC Historic Stats

One cool thing about the way the RPC is setup are the stats. We’ve got every scribble documented. Well we finally put all those scribbles together on one page. As you can see we’ve gone through every yearly score sheet and reformatted with the color coded winners and bubble breakers. This will make it easier to pull out different stats like how many times Scotty V took first place or who broke the bubble the most. We’re all making history together and this is the proof.

2017 was the inaugural year and we played our first game in March. We don’t have any pictures of that game and to tell you the truth we don’t know where it was played. To make up for a few lost games this year we played an extra game and added another one in December. Scott was our very first Champion. He placed 6 times! This is when the core was formed.

In 2018 we were in full swing. As you can see, we had many more players than in the first year. This was Josh’s year to take the trophy home. He also finished in the circle 5 times! We also had our biggest year-end double points game this year.

2019 was another great year. Players came and gone but the core remained. This was Lori’s first year to claim the trophy. She did it with only 1 win and 2 second place finishes. She didn’t miss a game and played consistently. This was another close finish. Anything could have happened at that double points game.

2020 was the covid year! As you can see we succumbed to the scary virus for 3 months. In June we said fuck it, lets play some cards! This was the closest finish we’ve ever had with Lori claiming the trophy 2 years in a row!

Now we arrive in 2021 when we had our biggest opening game at 20 players. This was Tony’s year to shine. With only 1 win, 3 seconds and 2 third place finishes he even missed a game and still fought to the end to claim the title.

2022 was the year Clyde was on a mission to get the trophy. He said he would and he did. With 3 first place wins, 1 second and 1 third he even missed a game and still ran away with it. He’s one of our best players and a great friend who’s 2 dollar bills are always good.

The year Scott doubled up his championships to claim two spots on the trophy and join Lori in this prestigious honor. He finished in the winners circle 6 times with 4 of those in 1st place! He even missed a game. If he hadn’t have been successful then we would have possibly had our first 3 time champ.

Here we are in 2024 when it was Bobby’s year. Bobby had to work for it though. As you can see he only placed 2 times but broke the bubble 4 times. He didn’t miss any games though and played very consistently. No low scores! Look how far back the other players are! This is also the year that our biggest game was played with 21 players at Nates multi-level poker pad.

What’s gonna happen in 2025? Will we have a triple crown RPC Champ? Or maybe another returning champ claiming their 2nd title? Or will another great RPC member be successful with their play and get their first championship? Anything can happen! We’ve learned that.

Here’s a look at 25 and who’s alive.
